What are the obstacles to the development of singular talents at work?
Gifted people are usually apolitical.
They are so committed to the truth that they forget their own personal interests and put their heart and soul into their work, preferring to stay out of political games.
They dare to say things that aren't in their own interest and hate the social code of brushing people aside.
This can be an obstacle in their career development. Although they spend a lot of time working on deep subjects, singular talents are not ones for boasting about their achievements. Consequently, they are almost invisible to their managers who are likely to pass over them for promotion.
Despite being highly competent, they are not considered for higher roles within the company due to this lack of internal exposure.
As tailor-made roles are created to satisfy their curiosity, they quickly become "irreplaceable" and do not progress further. And yet they complain about stagnation - it's a vicious circle.
Knowing how to express your true self and communicate while staying authentic is something that can be learned!!
